Hello all! I am local author, Ashley McMillan! I aspire to inspire. Writing is my God given gift and I am thrilled to share my stories with everyone. Writing is a huge part of who I am. Sharing my ideas with the world is what I was born to do. Currently I have published only children's books, but I have so much more material to share in time. With God's guidance, I have faith that I will succeed.

I worked as a preschool teacher assistant for several years. When I would read to my children at home and my students at school, I would imagine I was the author and illustrator of my very own book. One day after work, I went home and wrote The Day I Lost My Voice! This book was inspired by my son. When he was a little boy he had a very big imagination, so I wrote a story for him and dreamers just like him! I wrote this story in 2013 with a notebook and pencil, but I had no idea where I would start with drawing the pictures and actually putting my story into a book. I put my dreams aside and continued working and being a mother. In 2021, I drew the illustrations for my story and found an awesome publishing company to help turn my story into my first published book. I am so proud to be able to introduce myself as a published author! I hope you all find the courage to follow your dreams as well! Be blessed!
